“This is a f•••ing game changer” – John McAfee, Founder of McAfee Antivirus – Everykey now available on Indiegogo for as low as $75 ($90 off retail price) – Everykey can unlock your phone and laptop – it can also automatically log you into your website accounts – Everykey also works with physical locks, like car doors and house doors – When Everykey is close to one of your devices, it unlocks that device – then re-locks it when you’re out of range
Cleveland, OH – December 7, 2015 Today, John McAfee, founder of McAfee Antivirus and Chief Evangelist of Everykey Inc. (https://everykey.com), has announced the launch of an Indiegogo campaign (http://igg.me/at/everykey) to fund production for Everykey, the revolutionary device that replaces all passwords and keys. The campaign will run for approximately one month, beginning today and ending on January 10, 2015. When Everykey is close to your phone, laptop, tablet, house door, car door, or another access-controlled device, it unlocks that device. When you walk away, that device locks back down. Everykey can also log you into your website accounts. If you lose your Everykey, you can remotely freeze it, so no one else can use it. “When our team first conceptualized Everykey, security was a top priority,” McAfee comments. “That’s why we’ve built in military grade encryption and safety features like the ability to remotely freeze your Everykey if it’s lost or stolen.” Everykey also stores a password keychain, which can be used to seamlessly log the user into their website accounts when they are within range of one of their devices. In addition to the sleek Everykey, users have the option to accessorize with the Band or Key Ring Accessories. The accessory options enable versatility, allowing for Everykey to fit each user’s unique lifestyle. “When we looked at the access control industry, we saw an outdated and insecure system. We wanted to build something that was more personal and convenient. Instead of carrying a bulky keychain and remembering a list of passwords, we want your access control to be something you don’t have to think about. That was our dream back when this was just a school project, and we’re making it a reality with Everykey!” Everykey CEO Chris Wentz comments.

About Everykey Everykey began as an innovative project for an entrepreneurship class at Case Western Reserve University in September, 2012. The class professor was so impressed with the concept that he invested his own money into the startup. Future plans include the release of an SDK, which allows other access control technologies to seamlessly integrate with Everykey. This means Everykey could not only unlock, but also start a car, unlock house doors, turn on lights, and even replace credit cards. Also: Windows is an operating system that was developed to be hacked since it has to be hacked to accomidate new drivers for new tech. If the system couldnt be changed to allow new tech it would be worthless.
I am a computer idiot from the days of windows 3 so I know enough to be afraid.
A few questions:
1. Is this device used by hackers to unlock cars, houses, computers, phones and refrigerators?
2. My window unit airconditioner operates on the same remote frequency as the volume up botton on the tv remote.
My remote control helicopter runs on the same remote frequency as the CO meter. When the copter is running the CO meter sounds off.
Will this device correct that problem?
3. What prevents hackers from breaking into the device and having a complete and ububstructed acces to anything I own that has a processer chip?
I like the idea and would use this device.
I had invented password less device authentication technology in 2009. Later Yubikey started down that road and now everkey.
The problem with Yubikey or EveryKey is you need to spend lot of money to purchase one of this and replace it if you lost one. This is good for the company not for the customer.
The Password Less Device authentication technology I invented does not need you to purchase anything from me. Instead use your own usb pendrive, USB Mouse or keyword or your mobile phone to lock and unlock your accounts and provide you access exactly similar to what everkey offers.
I had called this technology EasySecured and tried to setup a business but as there is not much money to be made, no one gave serious attention.
The advantage with using your own security device is that no one know what it is that unlocks your accounts except you.
With everykey or yubikey it has a proprietary trademark and hackers will sooner or later hack it.
I believe we need another independent party who would be best as a running companion and that would be Jesse Ventura. Both have similar ideas and ideals. Both have business and political beliefs that would turn our country around. If they have differences of any kind, find a common ground and make our country great again.
